Building Information Modeling (BIM)

Building information modeling or BIM [ Building Information Modeling] is a new technology developed for the architecture industry. and construction starting from building design to construction by using a computer system to control various processes The system creates an accurate virtual model of the building. digital model such as design, drawing, structural calculation Cost estimation, procurement, and building planning

BIM is a process. [Process] not software [Software]  which aims to integrate the various processes. of the design and construction of architectural buildings with the goal of reducing the steps reduce redundancy reduce conflict and reduce problems due to data errors caused by the same working process

With technology  BIM  [Building Information Modeling] virtual models of one or more accurate buildings. digitally These models support each stage of the design. This allows for more efficient analysis and control than manual processes. when complete These computer-generated models contain the precise geometry and information needed to support construction, fabrication and procurement activities to achieve construction.

Simply put, BIM looks at the building process from the start of a building to the end of its life cycle [Live Cycle]  of a building  as another technology that increases the potential. Working better

LOD [Level of Development]

BIM is a process of creating 3D models, so each step of the process works. in each step Therefore, the threshold for the resolution level of the model must be defined. And the data of the model came up, abbreviated as LOD, to determine that the modeling with the accompanying data is related to and corresponds to the steps in the work itself.

The LOD [Level of Development] designation has two components of the data model used to design it: graphics data [Graphics], which is the model that is part of both 2D and 3D models, and data that is not graphics [Non-Graphics]

BIM working principles and processes

Principles and processes under BIM systems must work through software systems designed to support such processes. The nature of the software is mainly focused on the work of creating 3D models. and there will be a mechanism to control various sizes and proportions of objects with the [Paramettic Object-Based] parameter system, which controls the operation that will work through various perspectives, both 2D and 3D views, and when changing the details of any object It will affect all other perspectives. This allows the creation of work to be done smoothly at the same time. without having to worry about the relationship of different perspectives anymore

The software developed on the BIM system has the characteristics of displaying the model in various perspectives, 2D, 3D and displayed in the form of a grid . or modify any part of the created model That correction will be reflected in every perspective. in order to make all adjustments accordingly and including relationships related to both graphics [Graphics] and non-graphic information.
